The reason I haven't been vlogging very much is because I haven't had time this semester. I'm working on an independent study in MAYA tho and I thought I would share a bit of it. Another student and I are trying to figure out how to make our final project. This is a test render in After Effects with a Train we created as part of our exercises.

Inauguration!
A quick video of my experience at the inauguration. I drove down with two of my friends from New York to DC to witness it in person. Fantastic time and well worth dealing with the crowds. Music by: Gurdonark. www.ccmixter.net

Existentialism
Very possibly the strangest thing that I've ever made. I'll tell you what its about if you ask. Thanks to David Howell for letting me use his video as a large piece of this project. Check out the non-mashed up version of "Falling Slowly" at his website. It's very beautiful. http://www.davidhowellstudios.com/ Music: morgantj "Existentialism" www.ccmixter.org

Antarctica Crew
Some of the crew moments from my recent trip to Antartica. Nothing special and I can't imagine all that interesting to anyone who wasn't there :). But... a taste of the life I lived for a month on a ship with the Irish!

Antarctica
I've been mysteriously absent from posting mainly because I spent the last month helping with a production in Antarctica. There is more coming but I have to finish up my missed school work first. In the meantime here is a video that I made summarizing the trip for credit.

Vlog Anarchy in After Effects
My Second Project for an After Effects based class. The main inspiration and audio for this project is from Michael Verdis Vlog Anarchy. His original video can be found here: http://michaelverdi.com/index.php/2005/02/20/vlog-anarchy/ I tried to include videos/people that represent the diversity of videoblogging. The other videos that are included can be found at the sites listed below. I tried to make sure everything I used was Creative Commons. If your video is included and you dont want it to be, drop me a comment and Ill take this down. Mad as Hell www.twittervlog.tv Monday May 26th 2008 www.rocketboom.com Big Announcement! Happiness
Man is fond of counting his troubles, but he does not count his joys. If he counted them up as he ought to, he would see that every lot has enough happiness provided for it. ~Fyodor Dostoevsky Special thanks to everyone who agreed to let me interview them.

Community Orphan Trust Program
I don't usually post non-personal work on here but this is something that has consumed a great majority of my time this summer. It's a video promoting World Hope South Africa's Community Orphan Trust Program. http://www.whsa.co.za/?p=ctp.php

dV Start/Stop Detect in Final Cut Pro
A time consuming and often tedious part of the video editing process is logging and capturing individual editable clips in Final Cut Pro. Capturing the entire tape as one clip is easy, but that makes cutting the captured footage into smaller clips useful in editing difficult. But not if you use Final Cut Pro's Start/Stop Detect feature.

Mothers Day
Mothers Day 2008. All my mom wanted to do was go to a park and walk around. I thought it would be fun to bring my camera.

How Often...
Often I'm so busy doing other things that I never take the time to notice how interesting the world can be. Partially a response to Dave Huth's "On Paying Attention' Music: "analogs" www.mobygratis.com
