A time consuming and often tedious part of the video editing process is logging and capturing individual editable clips in Final Cut Pro. Capturing the entire tape as one clip is easy, but that makes cutting the captured footage into smaller clips useful in editing difficult. But not if you use Final Cut Pro's Start/Stop Detect feature.

Couldn't get the clip to open at first in Firefox on Mac. Said I needed a plugin but wouldn't tell me which one. Opened it in Safari but it was too small to read in situ in the browser. So right clicked and opened in Preview. All was then well. : )
